Sue Detweiler interviews Elizabeth Claybaker, Part 2
Raised in Los Angeles, California, Elizabeth Claybaker graduated high school at the age of 16 and went on to attend a junior college before transferring to UCLA as a Junior. She served as Director of Women’s Issues for UCLA’s student government, and then became President of the Student Body after a highly controversial election.
After graduating from UCLA in 2002, Elizabeth moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked on the presidential campaign, served as Managing Editor for the Presidential Inauguration Committee, and as Deputy Director of USDA’s Faith Based and Community Initiative.
She has worked as a magazine editor, an event producer, and as Director of Community Relations for Mercy Ministries of America’s Corporate Headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, where she currently resides with her husband Ben and her 3 ½ year-old son, Jackson, who entered their family through the miracle of adoption. Currently, Elizabeth’s husband Ben is running for State Representative for District 53 in Nashville and she is helping his campaign as much as possible. Elizabeth and Ben are also expecting a daughter on October 24th.
Elizabeth has spoken to hundreds of young people all over the world inspiring them to be a leader in their generation and to change the world.
