Get Power

Have you ever felt like you are powerless to change?

Often you feel powerless to change because you are believing a lie.  A lie keeps you stuck. A lie keeps you isolated. A lie comes from the enemy who is the father of lies. He will attack your character. He will attack your potential. And if you let him, he will steal your destiny.

“I just want to be left alone” you may think as you scoop a big bowl of ice cream and grab a romance novel or magazine and lock the door to your room.  But really, you are just escaping when you do that, you are not embracing life. Time is being stolen from you. And you can’t get time back. It’s not about eating ice cream or reading a romance novel,  it is about having purpose in your life and living life to the fullest.

Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief’s purpose is to kill and to steal and to destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” (New Living Translation).  If you listen to the father of lies, he will steal and destroy your time with your kids. He will bring death into relationships. He doesn’t fight fair. He uses a simple “lie” that sounds like your own thought. He plants that lie in your mind, tempts you, tricks you, then steals from you.

You have power over the lies of the enemy. The power comes through believing on and applying the Word of God to your daily life. Use the word like a sword to combat and defeat the enemy on a daily basis.

Don’t sit back and believe a lie. You have power to overcome every minute and major lie with the power of God’s word.
